About

A practice built around application usage, not product sales

Data Services Cloud helps organizations understand how people use applications on their data platforms — before renewals, after rollouts, and when access sprawl becomes expensive.

Origin

The practice began in Daejeon after years of watching platform teams renew seats from last year’s spreadsheet while usage told a different story. We formed Data Services Cloud to give those teams an independent assessment: inventory first, usage evidence second, recommendations third.

What we bring

Our work sits between operations and finance. We read usage extracts, interview owners, and write findings that a procurement meeting can act on. We do not sell monitoring software or build custom dashboards as a product line; when a client needs those capabilities, we say so and stay inside the assessment scope.

Working approach

Engagements are time-bounded. We agree the application set, the questions that matter, and the confidence we can claim given the logs available. Findings that rest on incomplete data are labeled. Stakeholders leave with a backlog they can own — not a dependency on our continued presence.

Values in practice

  • Prefer written confidence bands over false precision.
  • Protect seasonal and break-glass access when reclaiming seats.
  • Keep deliverables short enough for a busy renewal meeting.
  • Stay independent of vendors whose licenses we review.
